Our Story: From Vacation Dreams to Mushroom MagicBorn in 2020 from a bold pivot in our vacation rental business, Beyond The Veil Farms sprouted when co-founders Dylan Griffith and Michael Reeves snapped up a larger property and spotted a glaring gap: Chattanooga's booming demand for affordable, high-quality gourmet mushrooms. What began as a simple tent in Dylan's garage—fueled by late-night experiments in mycology and holistic health—exploded into a regenerative powerhouse. One unforgettable early chapter…
We quit our corporate gigs on the same day. The very next morning, at 2 a.m., we hauled from Chattanooga to Atlanta for a 6 a.m. flight to Denver. From there, a three-hour drive into Colorado's eastern plains led to a two-hour whirlwind tour of a cutting-edge mushroom farm. We raced back, flew home, and collapsed in Benton—all within 24 hours—to snag our first grow setup. That relentless energy, It's the heartbeat of everything we do.

Dylan Griffith, CEO & Chief Mushroom Officer: A Chattanooga native and renowned chef with an Associate of Arts in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management from Johnson & Wales University, Dylan's culinary mastery—honed in high-end kitchens before he pivoted to running a Nissan dealership—infuses every aspect of our operation. That chef's eye for flavor and precision is why our products outshine the competition: from gourmet varieties that wow local chefs to adaptogenic blends bursting with farm-fresh potency. Today, as our mycology maestro, he obsesses over innovations like Reishi grown under custom lighting for sculptural, art-worthy shapes. Michael Reeves, Co-Founder: A hands-on craftsman at heart, Michael spent a decade as a carpenter and builder, mastering the art of turning raw spaces into functional beauty before diving into the car business to run the sister Nissan dealership alongside Dylan. That builder's grit and operational savvy now fuel our farm's infrastructure—from state-of-the-art grow rooms to welcoming guest havens—while his sales expertise drives customer connections. "I thrive on those chats because we're sharing something people truly adore—no hard sells, just genuine appreciation for a product that transforms lives," he says. Rounding out the team are our stellar cultivators Charlie and Alicia, who master the magic of spore-to-harvest, and Saydee (Dylan's partner-in-crime), who keeps things spotless across the farm and rentals while jumping in wherever needed.
